2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Chris Lauring, Lauring Construction

Chris Lauring
Project Manager
Lauring Construction

Number of years at firm: 12

One thing on my bucket list: Skydiving.

When I am not working, I am: Enjoying my family or at the beach.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? In fall of 2022 we completed an eight-building residential campus for Amego, Inc., an organization that supports people with autism and other developmental disabilities. The project consisted of six group homes (3,600 s/f each) that collectively house 42 people. Additionally, we built a 2,800 s/f community center, 1,000 s/f maintenance garage, playground, half basketball court, and campus-wide walking path. This project definitely had its challenges navigating through COVID supply chain issues but, in the end, resulted in a very successful project. The owner, current residents, and their families are delighted with the final product.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Chris has been a large part of our company’s success over the last decade, and we are excited to welcome him as a new owner of the company. He is an asset to any project he is assigned to, and his hard work is respected by project team members.” - Mark Lauring, Former Vice President at Lauring Construction
