2023 Ones to Watch - Industry Leaders: John Boyle of Cushman & Wakefield

John Boyle
Executive Vice Chair
Cushman & Wakefield

3 skills that you use every day in your position: Prioritizing: it’s important to set goals for the day and know what challenge to tackle first. Listening: the old saying “two ears, one mouth” rings true. Multitasking: being able to work on multiple projects and have fun doing it!

Best book, podcast, or app for aspiring leaders: Start With Why by Simon Sinek and Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Find your why, your purpose and your meaning and you will be the most effective, best version of yourself.

Best advice for new leaders in 10 words or less: The essence of life is relationships. Serve others, not yourself.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m incredibly humbled and honored to have received Cushman & Wakefield’s “Visionary Award,” named in honor of our late CEO Joe Stettinius. Joe was a true visionary, a dear friend of mine and a mentor whom I deeply respected. This award is extremely meaningful to me. I believe the key to being a visionary is being around people who can better you, and my learning disability has taught me that challenges can empower you to find the benefit of humility.
