2023 Ones to Watch - Industry Leaders: Jason Grant of ARCO National Construction – New England

Jason Grant
Vice President
ARCO National Construction – New England

3 skills that you use every day in your position: Drive, Problem Solving, Customer Service

Best book, podcast, or app for aspiring leaders: Any autobiography of a successful sports coach. Picking up on what made them successful leaders will help drive how a business leader can lead their team.

Best advice for new leaders in 10 words or less: Emulate and seek advice from the successful people around you.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud of the team we’ve built in New England. We have a family atmosphere and a group of people who truly care for one another and that want to see each other succeed. With the accelerated growth we’ve seen, it could have been easy at times to lose our identity and culture, but we have maintained a fantastic team of professionals dedicated to each other, the organization, and our customers.

What was one of your biggest challenges as a leader and how did you overcome it? I’ve had to change my mindset from leading a construction project to leading a team of people within our organization. It is a different way of thinking and of communicating that is a bit outside of my comfort zone. I have relied on advice from other leaders within ARCO and mentors from outside of ARCO to coach me in this change and to put me in positions to be successful.

What makes this nominee an Industry Leader? “Jason is a talented construction professional and an intuitive problem solver. He can look at a deal and understand what it takes to make it pencil. He understands the developer’s world and is relentlessly focused on bringing value to his customers.” - Parker Snyder, Director of Business Development at ARCO National Construction - New England.
