2022 Women in Construction: Molly Titus, PE, Senior Project Manager at DiPrete Engineering

Molly Titus

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? I have been fortunate to have been able to work on the new Rhode Island Grows Greenhouse. This 1 million s/f facility will provide 100 times more fruit than a traditional farm. It will also leave a “net negative” carbon footprint relying on harvested rainwater for irrigation. This farm will employ close to 100 farmers year-round and will be part of an education collaboration with the University of Rhode Island. It’s a revolutionary project for the New England region. The frame of the greenhouse is currently standing and the glass will be installed soon.

Within your firm, who has helped you succeed within the industry? How have they helped you? The leadership at DiPrete Engineering provides constant support through mentoring, varied project types, and decades of experience. They truly strive to empower everyone to work with their strengths and areas of interest.

While it’s impossible to prevent disasters and power outages entirely, proactive preparation can significantly minimize their impact on your commercial building.

The industrial markets have never been stronger. What has happened is that the build out of Devens with new high-tech biotech manufacturing with housing to service these buildings serves as the connector required to really make the I-495 West market sizzle. Worcester has been the beneficiary
