2021 Women in Construction: Megan Kane Job Captain, Dennis J. Swart Architects (DJSA)

Why should women consider a career in construction? Well, why shouldn’t they? Women can do whatever they put their minds to. That’s an ideal I’ve learned from a young age. It might not be as easy but it’s definitely worth it in the end. The great thing about having more women in the construction field is that it offers new insights to problem solving, approaching situations, design, schedules and the social aspects of construction. I know many women in construction, and they are all strong, independent people with creative sides who can look at something from a unique point of view, and that is always a desirable skill.
