2021 Women in Construction: Corren Collura, Director, IT, Dellbrook | JKS

What are you most looking forward to post-pandemic? From a professional standpoint, I am most looking forward to being able to visit our jobsites again, attend in person seminars, and shaking people’s hands. From a personal standpoint, I am looking forward to gathering with friends and family like we did in the past. I look forward to no restrictions on gatherings and having my kids back in school full time. I miss people!

Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? I have been in different “non-operational” (accounting and IT) roles in the construction industry for over 20 years working for small, medium, and large enterprises. During this time, technology has become an integral part of the construction process. IT now has a seat at the “table.” I have stayed in the industry because I have always been given the space to bring my ideas to action, build great teams and implement technology that improves the business. I have, and still am, empowered by great mentors, and support from executive leadership.
