2021 Women in Construction: Christine Wilson, Associate, Copley Wolff Design Group, Inc.

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Construction on my first two playground projects for Boston Parks was completed in late 2020 and opened to very eager children. The construction manager and the parks project manager were both women and the three of us met regularly onsite with our masks through the summer and fall to work collaboratively on bringing the playgrounds to life. It was tremendously exciting to see the designs become a reality and now be enjoyed by the community.

What are you most looking forward to post-pandemic? I live and work in downtown Boston, so I look forward to witnessing the city come back to life with people! The Financial District has always been a ghost town on the weekend, aside from tourists, but it has been eerie to witness it so quiet every day during the week. I cannot wait to socialize with colleagues and industry friends in person without the need for a screen, and to see Post Office Square packed during the lunch hour again.
