What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2020? In the town of Randolph, we represented Mazzeo Realty Trust who proposed a mixed-use development in the downtown Crawford Sq. Business District which consisted of 109 apartments with approximately 3,100 s/f of commercial space located on the first level. The site consisted of 5.67 acres and a proposed building of 31,645 s/f and included 236 parking spaces. This development brings new life to the downtown with a redevelopment of a former industrial site. We successfully worked with the town planner and other stakeholders through these COVID challenges.

What was the most difficult part of working during the pandemic of 2020? In the earlier stages, we had some difficulties arranging meetings with town officials throughout communities on behalf of our clients. The pandemic changed the way businesses operated and demonstrated the growing need for remote participation and demand for more technology.

In fairness, the pandemic was a situation unlike any other and our ability to connect with municipalities improved as the videoconferencing technology took center stage.

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
