Arnold Peck’s Commercial World, Property World

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal or transaction in 2020? A large property in Orange, CT was vacated by a Sam’s Club closure in 2018. 13.65 acres on Boston Post Rd., with 137,000 s/f of fully air-conditioned, gas heated warehouse space with the additional 2,000 s/f of office space. Finding the right buyer for this property and one that would be approved by the Walmart organization was the task. Arnold Peck located the buyer, a developer from MA, and the $4 million purchasing transaction was completed in 2020. Additionally, Arnold Peck represented the new owner in locating a tenant for the newly purchased property. The large complex is now back in business, giving employment to hundreds, bringing tax revenue to the town. To accomplish all of this, Arnold, as an active board member of the Orange Economic Development Committee, met and discussed many out of the box usages for the space.

Meetings that included the selectman James Zeoli, highlighted the town’s openness to new ideas and ventures. Orange has proven to be a town that is business friendly.
