2019 Women in Construction: Haley Sabino, Field Supervisor at Erland Construction, Inc.

How many years have you been in your current field? Ever since I can remember, but six months out of college for construction management.

What was your first job and what did you learn from it? I started working in my family’s construction business at a young age. I would work on miscellaneous residential and commercial projects with my dad and my papa, whether it be brickwork, tiling, framing, or demolition. Growing up in the industry has taught me many invaluable lessons; the most important being that starting from the bottom makes you a better leader. By participating in every element of building, I’ve learned to appreciate and understand the work being done. Every day onsite, I continue to learn and grow as a member of the construction industry.
