Why the A/E/C Industry? Growing up a farm kid we built things all the time, and every summer I had a project. We spent hours building forts and mazes with bales of straw and hay. It was an amazing way to grow up because I quickly learned that you could create something amazing with the things around you. My palette of materials and level of sophistication has changed dramatically since then, but the spirit of being able to create anything with a can-do spirit remains true and valuable in an industry that is moving and changing faster than ever.

If you had to choose one word to explain why you do what you do, which one most suits you, and why? Definitely love! I love bringing together a client’s ideas and needs to create a vision just for them and then seeing that vision come to life. For me it is about the process, discovering solutions, and seeing the outcome, rather than project constraints. Helping to paint the walls when designing the original Lineage restaurant is a great memory.
