As a high-energy, high-stress, and fast-paced industry, it’s crucial to work towards a probable solution—despite emotions or other contributing factors. Collaborating towards a common goal is how a team delivers exceptional client service—and I’m proud to be a woman, contributing to our team’s success.

How do you play your strengths to your advantage in your career: In this industry, relationships and client service is essential to delivering a successful project, and I take pride in bringing my knowledge and technical building skills—especially as a women in the industry—to the table each and every day. As a project manager, I oversee various teams—from subcontractors and owners—which make communication critical to our success. You should never be afraid to over communicate— making goals and results clear to the team is in part what makes a project a success.

What trends are you seeing so far this year: Within our industry, collaboration has always been an essential piece to a successful project. In construction specifically, we’re seeing the adoption of more collaborative project delivery methods, especially between the client, contractor, and designers— benefits of this level of collaboration are undeniable.
