Respondent’s Name: Michael Norman Company: Abbot Building Restoration Co., Inc. What was your most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2015? Our most notable project for 2015 was the restoration of the North and West sides of exterior façade of the historic Schrafft Center Clock Tower in Charlestown, Mass. Formerly the Schrafft Candy Factory, the 600,000 s/f building was converted into a mixed-use commercial property in 1984. Facing the Sullivan Sq. traffic circle, the clock tower is a prominent landmark for the future Wynn Casino oceanfront development project in Everett, Mass. Having worked on various portions of the complex for nearly a decade, Abbot was contracted to perform structural repairs to the concrete and repoint the brick. To finish the project, Abbot coated all of concrete to match the original appearance of the building.
