Respondent’s Name: David Barrett Company: RCM Services and Clifton Management Co What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2015? I was elected as the 2016-2017 regional vice president of the Institute of Real Estate Management for the New England region. What was your most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2015? RCM Services continues to provide outstanding services to its many clients in the real estate Industry including Harvard Housing. IREM throughout New England continues to thrive. Christopher Mellen of the Boston Chapter is the 2016 IREM National president. Boston continues to hold every required CPM class in the area every year and holds many valuable networking events and seminars each year.  The Rhode Island Chapter has its own radio show hosted by Jason Martins on AM 790 on Tuesday afternoons. Rhode Island also holds many great events and educational programs. The Connecticut Chapter held its first state capital tour in 2015 and will have a full schedule of educational seminars and networking events in 2016. I am excited to working with all three groups over my term as RVP. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2016? Commercial real estate has been performing exceptionally well and will continue to perform well for 2016. Sales are on the rise and apartments are in great demand. HUD just published increased rates in fair market values to take place mid 2016.
