16th Annual NEWiRE Achievement Awards April 9th

One of the great things about NEWiRE is that we celebrate our members. We are proud of them and their accomplishments. That is why we put a great deal of thought and effort into planning our annual achievement awards. By recognizing the individual accomplishments of our best and brightest, we show our collective support for all women in the commercial real estate industry. This year, 11 amazing women will be recognized in six categories at the Annual NEWiRE Achievement Awards in April. We expect over 300 people from the Greater Boston real estate community to be in attendance as we celebrate the professional achievements and public service contributions of some of NEWiRE's most accomplished members. The NEWiRE members listed in the chart will be recognized for their achievements. We are also excited to announce that there will be a new format for this year's event. The idea behind the change is to allow for a more fluid presentation and more time for networking. The official ceremony will take place at the beginning of the event, immediately following registration. We are delighted to have WHDH news anchor Janet Wu return as MC this year. Guests will be served refreshments and be seated theater-style for the presentation of the awards. Afterwards, guests will move into the ballroom for a cocktail reception and food. This way, guests can network and mingle with our award honorees in a more relaxed fashion. Join us on April 9th at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston for the 16th Annual NEWiRE Achievement Awards. You can support the event by attending as an individual, with a group, or by sponsoring the event. I think you will find it to be an uplifting, motivating night for recipients and attendees alike. Gayle Bourdeau, vice president /associate senior underwriting counsel at Stewart Title Guaranty Co.-National Title Services, is the 2013-2014 president of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWiRE), Boston, MA. Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
