01-22-2013 - Geisler of Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. to present at Environmental Bankers Association conference
According to Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. (ECS), Richard Geisler, PG, LSP, will be giving a presentation and participating in a panel discussion at the winter conference of the Environmental Bankers Association (EBA) on January 22nd, 2013 in New Orleans. Geisler is ECS's branch manager and due diligence market sector leader for the Northeast.
"This is a very exciting opportunity," Geisler said, "and I'm honored to have been asked to participate."
During his presentation, Geisler will explain the role of Massachusetts Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs) within the environmental due diligence industry. He has been an LSP since 2005.
Additional panel members will discuss similar roles of licensed professionals in other states, such as Licensed Environmental Professionals (LEPs) in Connecticut.
Geisler will be giving a general overview of the LSP program and what bearing it has on environmental risk management for the commercial real estate market and due diligence as a whole. The educational discussion will cover the complexities involved and the technical expertise required. Highlights will include site closure under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) and the ASTM 1527 standards overlying the LSP program.
The EBA is a non-profit trade association that represents the financial services industry, including bank and non-bank financial institutions, insurers, asset management firms and those who provide services to them. ECS has been an EBA member for eight years.
